For the last 72 years, we have been serving our community in a number of ways, such as community dances, weddings, other community celebrations, benefit events, children's Christmas and Easter celebrations, baseball teams, soccer teams and other athletic events. SCA has always been the voice of Shepard community supporting and advancing the needs and concerns of our members.
O U R D E V E L O P M E N T P L A N
SCA has secured a long-term lease on 50 acres of municipal reserve lands from the Municipal District of Rocky View. This parcel of land is adjacent to the Hamlet of Shepard situated at 84 St SE and 114th Ave. SE. We are extremely excited about the development plans for the future, we envision: Phase 1 - three outdoor soccer pitches, four baseball diamonds, a five acre day use park complete with picnic tables and a 500 seat community hall. Future phases: Multiple skating arenas, large curling rink, a double gymnasium, fitness center, indoor field turf center complete with an athletic Association complex which would house offices, meeting rooms, boardroom and locker/change rooms.
